The family has farmed Zilzie Estate, located in Karodoc in North West Victoria, since Donald and Ethel Forbes were granted ‘ Selection23’ of the fertile land just a stone’s throw from the bands of the mighty Murray River in the early 1900s. The Zilzie named originated from the Forbes’ Scottish Heritage, and was the name originally given to their property at this time.
