Australia has beautiful sunshine and weather, rich of land mineral substance and the best natural environment without any pollution, which would plant the best grape in the world.

Australia has much innovations, exquisite technologies and multiplex backgrounds of making wine fine. It´;s one of the manufacturers, which may produce the best fine wines in the world without any doubt. Australia has its own philosophy to keep the original taste of the grape.

Australia has about 60 wine regions located across the country with 103 “defined geographic indications” for wine growing districts covering zones, regions and sub-regions. The broadest zone in Australia - South Eastern Australia - takes in the whole of New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania, and those sections of Queensland and South Australia in which grapes are grown. Due to the size of Australia, and variation in climatic conditions from one region to the next, these larger zones and State boundaries enable wineries to harvest fruit from across multiple regions, to blend a consistent ‘house’ wine that does not see significant vintage variation.

With the most advanced technologies and its unique wine making theory, Australian fine wines are full of individuality and energy. Most of them are best for drinking right now and need not to be stocked for years. Australia is such a large country that almost every climate and soil type can be found. This means that we are able to produce all of the major wine types, from red wines to white wines, fortified wines (such as port), and sweet wines to sparkling wines. With such advantages, the Wine styles here are full of diversification and are famous for its low price but high quality.

Major grape varieties include Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Viognier, Grenache, Pinot Noir etc.

Australia’s GI system is protected under Australian and international law. The defining of Australia’s wine regions allows winemakers to accurately name the zone, region or sub-region from which the grapes were sourced. In conjunction with Australia’s label integrity program, this ensures that what is stated on the label matches what is in the bottle.  The Australian Wine and Brandy Corporation (AWBC) administers a Label Integrity Program, designed to protect the quality and reputation of Australian wine by ensuring truth in labelling. Any claim made regarding vintage, variety and geographical indication must be capable of being substantiated through the provision of an auditable trail of records. The benefit for wine drinkers is the knowledge that when they select an Australian wine they can be confident that what is on the label matches what is in the bottle. It is also important to note that an Australian GI can only be used to describe a wine if at least 85% of the fruit used to make the wine originates from within the boundary of that GI.

澳大利亞雖沒有像法國法定產區法令那樣有全國性的酒標要求,但推出獨特的標簽完整性計劃,確保在標簽上如實體現年份、品種和產區。各州都有對酒標上葡萄品種和產區的管制,因此酒標會提供給許多訊息。其中最重要的一項是生產者名稱。如果葡萄品種印在酒標上,表示此酒至少80%由該葡萄所釀。如果酒標列出調配的葡萄品種,要標示出這幾種葡萄所占的百分比。如果酒標上特別列出酒產自某特定地區,那么至少80%的葡萄產自于該產區。正面的標簽一般應提供以下信息:Vintage (葡萄年份),Region (產區),Grape Variety (葡萄品種),Tasting notes (品嘗評注),Winery name (釀酒廠商名稱),Country of Origin (原產國),Alcohol Content (酒精含量)。
